Opportunity Overview
PE Global Healthcare is currently recruiting Clinical Perfusion Scientists for a leading acute hospital service in Cork.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly specialised cardiothoracic team, working within a busy surgical environment supporting complex cardiac procedures.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering a full range of clinical perfusion services, including:
Cardiopulmonary bypass management
Intra-aortic balloon pump support
Autologous cell salvage
On-bypass haemofiltration
Blood gas management & coagulation monitoring
TEG analysis and interpretation
Post-cardiotomy ECMO support
You will also participate in a 1:4 on-call rota, including weekend coverage, supporting a 24/7 emergency cardiac service.
Essential Requirements
To be considered, candidates must have:
Accreditation with the College of Clinical Perfusion Scientists of Great Britain & Ireland (or equivalent)
Current registration as a practising Clinical Perfusion Scientist
Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience
ECMO experience (highly desirable)
Must have permission to live and work in Ireland ( this is an agency role and does not offer sponsorship)
Ability to work independently, including during out-of-hours emergencies
Access to transport
