We are seeking an accomplished Energy Solutions Specialist to spearhead the implementation of cutting-edge energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions in residential projects. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of building physics, renewable energy systems, and sustainable design principles.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive Building Energy Rating assessments and energy audits on new and existing residential buildings to identify areas for improvement.
* Develop and implement cost-effective energy efficiency measures, including insulation upgrades, airtightness improvements, and heating system optimisations, ensuring alignment with Irish building regulations and sustainability goals.
* Specify and support the installation of renewable energy systems, such as solar PV and air-to-water heat pumps, to maximise energy harvesting and reduce carbon footprint.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
* Utilise advanced energy modelling and simulation tools, like DEAP, PHPP, or IESVE, to inform decision-making and drive project success.
* Prepare technical reports and grant applications to secure funding and support project development.
* Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and homeowners to deliver innovative energy-efficient design solutions that meet project objectives.
* Monitor energy performance post-occupancy and recommend adjustments to ensure optimal results.
Essential Requirements:
* Relevant degree in Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* Certified Domestic BER Assessor registration with the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI).
* Experience with SEAI grant applications and Irish building regulations.
* Proficiency in DEAP and other energy assessment tools.
* Strong report writing, communication, and client liaison skills.
