This stylish hotel in Co Meath, featuring recently refurbished bedrooms, is a popular wedding venue. As our Deputy Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth daily operations of the hotel, with a focus on the Bar and Club.
Key responsibilities include:
* Promoting excellent customer care standards
* Maintaining high standards of personal hygiene and grooming
* Attending weekly departmental meetings and following up on outstanding issues
* Conducting floor walks to ensure all standards are met
* Communicating effectively with managers, supervisors, and senior staff
* Managing the Porter and Accommodation departments, providing training as needed
* Oversight of the float management system and adherence to procedures
* Focusing on daily room occupancy figures, VIPs, groups, no-shows, conferences, banqueting events, restaurant bookings, bar numbers, and complaints
* Carrying out weekly room spot checks
* Completing reasonable requests from senior management
* Approving departmental rosters
* Having a visible presence on the floor during busy periods
* Oversight of functions, particularly weddings and VIP events
* Assisting with wedding show rounds and covering conference and banqueting duties as needed
* Handling guest complaints or queries that cannot be resolved at departmental level
* Responding to emergency situations efficiently and professionally
* Serving as the hotel's Health & Safety Officer
The ideal candidate will have at least three years' experience in a senior hotel operations role and possess expertise across various hotel departments, with a strong focus on bars. A proven team leader with excellent communication and motivational skills, you will demonstrate excellent service standards and a genuine guest-focused approach.
