Role:Site ManagerResponsibilities:Reporting to the Contracts Manager, this individual will oversee site operations daily, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This role suits someone with a comprehensive background in construction.Role ResponsibilitiesEnsure client expectations are met by delivering a quality product while maintaining professional relations with design teams and client representatives.Maintain high standards in health & safety, quality, and client service, ensuring contracts are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and snag-free.Report progress accurately and promptly to the Contracts Manager.Manage subcontractors to ensure work meets required standards with minimal rework.Plan, coordinate, execute works, and deliver projects as per contract documents.Maintain excellent relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors, and supply chain.Resource and schedule work aligned with the project construction program.Collaborate with the project QS on upcoming issues.GeneralManage daily site operations, supervise labor force and subcontractors.Health and SafetyDeliver work safely, in compliance with legislative requirements, with support from the Site Manager, EHS Advisor, and Contracts Manager.Ensure contractors follow approved method statements and risk assessments.Conduct daily site briefings to manage interface risks between subcontractors.Maintain high standards of housekeeping.Report safety incidents or accidents following company protocols.Prepare method statements and risk assessments as needed.Strive for Zero Harm on all worksites.Technical/QualitySupervise site engineering activities, including setting out and surveying.Ensure snag-free project delivery to client satisfaction.Coordinate with Contracts Manager, Site Engineers, and Services Coordinator for timely information sharing.Resolve technical issues arising from revised details or site situations.Ensure work and materials meet specifications and drawings.Manage inspections, testing plans, and sign-offs.Oversee RFI and submittal processes, maintaining updated registers.ManagementServe as the primary point of contact for client and designer liaison on site.Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, QS, and workforce for successful project completion.Manage requisitions for materials and equipment.Familiarize with contract documents.Monitor progress, escalate delays or risks to mitigate issues.Assist in developing project and sub-programs with the Contracts Manager & Planner.Minimum Requirements2-5 years of experience as a Site Manager.Relevant qualifications in Construction/Project Management (desirable).Deep knowledge of construction industry and project execution.Proficient in MS Office, project management, or similar scheduling tools.Strong client relationship skills.Proven track record of delivering projects on time with keen attention to finishes.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Self-motivated, good judgment under pressure.Effective manager capable of motivating teams.Commercial awareness and market knowledge.What's in it for you?Competitive salary, company vehicle, laptop, and phone.Supportive environment with progression opportunities.Flexibility between Sligo and Maynooth locations.Professional development, mentoring, and CPD training.Benefits including life insurance, lifestyle perks, employee assistance, loyalty rewards, referral schemes, and social activities.Kilcawley Construction is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
