Lead Software Engineer

My client in the fintech sector is expanding their Cork team and are looking for a talented Lead Software Engineer to help extend their platform's features and capabilities as they continue to evolve their embedded finance solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment and make a real impact in the Fintech space.
What you'll do:
* Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using JavaScript,, and
* Build and enhance web services using serverless architecture and Express in an AWS environment
* Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles to ensure robust, high-quality code
* Work within a Kanban methodology, focusing on speed and efficiency
* Implement CI/CD pipelines using a DevOps model for continuous integration, build, and deployment
* Collaborate on 3rd-party API integrations, databases (DynamoDB, MySQL), and various scripting tools
* Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering growth within the team
What they are looking for:
* 5+ years' experience as a software engineer in a product development environment
* Strong experience in full-stack JavaScript development
* Proficiency with / and React frameworks
* Experience with AWS Serverless architecture (preferred)
* Solid understanding of APIs (REST / GraphQL)
* Familiarity with TDD and tools like JIRA and Confluence
* A collaborative, open-minded attitude and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
