Civil Engineer Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team on a utilities and public realm project based in Laois.
Key Responsibilities:
* Liaise with the Project Manager and ensure site specifications and designs are checked regularly.
* Complete daily setting out and surveying duties, ensuring the highest level of accuracy.
* Supervise and mentor site staff, providing guidance and support where needed.
* Ensure work is completed safely and to deadlines, minimizing delays and disruptions.
* Attend regular Site Meetings to discuss progress and address any concerns.
* Conduct Toolbox talks and Health & Safety briefings to promote a culture of safety and awareness.
* Liaise with Site Management and sub-contractors to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
* Assist in coordinating Plant, Machinery and Materials, optimizing resource allocation and efficiency.
* Ensure Waste is safely and responsibly disposed of, adhering to environmental regulations and best practices.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar position, preferably in utilities and public realm projects.
* Strong expertise in Setting Out, with excellent knowledge of surveying techniques and software.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to motivate and lead teams.
* Excellent numeracy skills, with proficiency in MS Office and ability to analyze data and reports.
* Full driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
