Full time Experienced Account assistant required for financial services company in Kilkenny city (On-site). Immediate start.
This role will report into the Financial Controller.
Duties of the role will include:
* Maintain and record day-to-day financial transactions including sales and purchases
* Accounts Payable: Posting invoices, recording payments and reconciliation
* Accounts Receivable: Allocation of receipts and investigating outstanding balances
* Cashflow reporting
* Preparing Payroll and resolving related queries
* Assisting with month end procedures
* Ensure that all key business reconciliations are carried out in a timely fashion
* Assisting with statutory accounts
* Additional support to operation’s team as required
* Ad hoc financial analysis
* Available to assist in ad hoc projects
Requirements:
* 3+ years (post qualification) accounts experience within a similar role
* The ideal candidate would be part qualified accountant, experienced bookkeeper, or accounting technician level
* Team player
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* Ability to communicate well with others – oral and written
* Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
* Strong IT skills and experience using accounting software (Sage, Thesaurus etc.)
* Ability to work under pressure and adhere to month end deadlines
* Takes own initiative
* Ability to multitask and work accurately and effectively
* Knowledge of the financial services industry an advantage
