About the role
Since 2011, The School Food Company has been dedicated to serving fresh, healthy lunches cooked daily onsite in our kitchens installed in schools. The primary schools are in Lucan.
Contracts & Schedule
Full time: 25‑30 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Part time: 10‑18 hours per week, 2 or 3 days per week on a rotating roster, no set days. Flexibility to work Monday‑Friday is required. Hours are approximately 7:30‑9:00 am to 2:30 pm, depending on the school and position.
What you will be doing
Peeling, chopping, prepping, and cooking ingredients from scratch every day (no raw meat).
Assisting with the hustle and bustle of a fast‑paced commercial kitchen.
Delivering the freshly cooked lunches to classrooms and performing end‑of‑day clean‑down.
Maintaining high standards of HACCP food safety and hygiene.
Requirements
Willingness to move between schools within a 30‑minute drive for support/cover.
All roles subject to Garda vetting and completion of a Child Protection Course.
Experience in catering or home cooking is advantageous; a positive attitude is essential.
