Working within the Operations Team, you will lead the long-term integrity of all MV and LV electrical systems, ensuring high levels of safety, reliability, technical and legal compliance. The Site Electrical Lead will also provide specialist support, guidance, and technical advice to the Engineering and Maintenance teams on site electrical systemsAbout the role:Oversee long-term planning and through-life management, including obsolescence of site infrastructure and systemsDiagnose and resolve automation, electrical, and mechanical issues during breakdownsPlan and execute electrical inspections activities, both technically and financially, during scheduled outagesDevelop longer-term planning views, managing assets through station life and system obsolescenceEnsure correct maintenance plans are in place for electrical and control systems, are carried out, and the periodicity is optimised for maximum reliabilitySupport Engineering and Maintenance teams in fault-finding, engineering solutions, and root cause analysis of electrical and control issuesDeliver and project manage capital projects on electrical and control systems, such as upgrades and replacementsContribute to budget planning across the 5-year rolling business plan period for electrical systems, overseeing and managing within-year delivery and phasing of electrical budgetsManage electrical contracts through identification, budgeting, specification, and executionLead on management of electrical works, ensuring high levels of quality management and documentation at all stagesReport to Operations Manager on site and build a teamWrite procedures and manage critical switchingManage all HV / LV Contractors and service engineersLiaise with clientsHere's what we're looking for:SAP (Senior Authorised Person) Certification with experience in issuing safety documents like permits to work and switching programmesHNC or relevant electrical qualificationDesirable - Degree (BSc/BEng) or equivalent qualification in Electrical EngineeringATEX Compex EX 1-4ATEX Compex EX 11IOSH Managing Safety (or equivalent)First aid - responderWhy should you apply?We're not a perfect place – but we're a people place.
