Job Title: Accommodation AssistantLocation: The Dawson Hostel GalwayReports To: Hostel Manager / Acommodation SupervisorSalary: Hourly PayJob Purpose:The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas within the hostel. This includes daily cleaning tasks, laundry services, and ensuring a comfortable environment for guests.Key Responsibilities:Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to the highest standards.Change bed linens, replenish towels, and provide any necessary amenities.Perform deep cleaning tasks, including dusting, mopping, and vacuuming.Maintain the cleanliness of public areas such as lounges, kitchens, reception and corridors.Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, and folding.Report any maintenance issues or damage to management.Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and report low inventory.Follow health and safety standards to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests.Key Skills & Qualifications:Good attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.Physical stamina and ability to lift and move cleaning supplies or equipment.Basic understanding of cleaning products and safety procedures.Working Conditions:Working hours are required to be flexible for weekends and holidays. Must be available bewteen the hours of 7am & 3pmPhysical work involved, including bending, lifting, and carrying items.Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.Frequent interaction with guests and other staff members.Must adhere to health and safety regulations, including safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak check-in and check-out times.Job Type: Part-timePay: From €14.00 per hourWork Location: In person
