Purpose of the Role
The CNM2has a pivotal role in co-ordination and management of activity and resources within the clinical area. The main responsibilities include ensuring patient safety, quality of care and safe staffing levels whilst working as part of the multidisplinary team. The post holder will provide effective nursing leadership, staff development, resource management, facilitate communication and professional/clinical and ethical leadership. They will support the philosophy and the mission statement of the hospital.
Along with the CNM 3 and Divisional Nurse Manager the CNM2 willhandle all grievance /disciplinary matters which are brought to your attention.
Ensure confidentiality on all matters and information obtained during the course employment. The post holder is accountable, responsible and has authority.
Essential Criteria
* RCN/RGN with 5 years acute Paediatric experience relevant to speciality
* Level 9 course relevant to speciality or willing to commence same in the next 2 years.
* Management experience
* Teaching, supervision and management experience
* Experience of working with a multidisciplinary team
* IV cannulation/phlebotomy skills, or willingness to undertake course within 1 year
