Location: Carrickmacross.
Role: Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer.
Team: Terex MDS Engineering.
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Mon–Thurs), 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Fri).
Reports To: Design Engineer.

What You'll Be Doing
Design and develop innovative mechanical solutions for next-gen equipment.
Create detailed drawings and 3D models (SolidWorks) including weldments and assemblies.
Build BOMs (Bill of Materials) and collaborate with suppliers to gather product data.
Ensure designs are safe, functional, and field-ready.
Solve real-time engineering problems — both on the production floor and in the field.
Work cross-functionally with teams across engineering, operations, and customer support.
What You Bring
A degree in Mechanical or Product Design Engineering (or similar).
Solid grasp of 3D CAD (preferably SolidWorks) and PDM systems.
A passion for designing systems that integrate mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical elements.
Problem-solving mindset and creative flair for innovation.
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude.
A curiosity to learn and a "let's figure it out" approach to challenges.
Bonus Skills (Not Required, but Awesome)
Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis).
Familiarity with mobile machinery electrical/hydraulic systems.
Understanding of how to balance technical feasibility with commercial impact.
Presentation and stakeholder communication skills.
Willingness to travel occasionally.
