Purchasing Coordinator
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Purchasing Coordinator to join a dynamic retail and building supply operation in Limerick. Reporting directly to the Area Branch Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in managing daily purchasing and stock control activities, supporting procurement strategies that align with broader business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the full lifecycle of Purchase Orders (PO) from initiation to delivery.
- Monitor sales trends and use system-generated re-order reports to maintain ideal stock levels.
- Assist in preparing purchasing forecasts for both short- and long-term planning.
- Collaborate with the Stock Controller and Sales Team to manage and reduce aged stock.
- Serve as the first point of contact for purchasing-related queries from suppliers and internal teams.
- Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to supplier evaluation and relationship management efforts.
- Help ensure stock levels meet the operational and commercial needs of the business.
- Participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives within the purchasing function.
- Work closely with Sales and suppliers to support a high standard of customer service.

Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a purchasing, buying, or supply chain coordination role.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and stock control methods.
- Background in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Logistics is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Inventory Management Software, ERP, or WMS systems.
- Capable of preparing clear, data-driven reports for management.
