Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Field Services Engineer to join our team. As a Field Engineer, you will be the frontline technical expert supporting customers across multiple sites. Your role will involve responding promptly to helpdesk calls, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and working closely with clients to deliver exceptional service.
Your responsibilities will include prioritizing, managing, and responding to helpdesk calls in a timely manner, as well as establishing and building on good working relationships with customers. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and referring hardware faults to third parties, as well as performing system administration tasks using Active Directory.
In addition, you will troubleshoot issues with Windows accounts/mailboxes, troubleshoot system problems, diagnose and solve software faults, install and configure computer hardware and peripherals, operating systems and applications, liaise with third-party vendors for software/hardware installation, deal with 'how to' and information requests including data security and ICT policies, and liaison with local and national ICT teams to find root cause for recurring issues.
To succeed in this role, you will require 1 year's experience in an IT hardware environment with experience in Windows & 10 Windows 11 installations. You must also demonstrate good problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills, excellent customer service skills, and an ability to empathize with users and help them adapt to their new technologies. Excellent communication skills are also essential, as is an excellent working knowledge of the full Microsoft Office suite and report writing.
