Country Manager
This role reports to the CEO and is part of the Senior Management Team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop a strategic vision and plan for the Gardencare Business aligned with company objectives and ambition.
* Owning business development, profitability, and growth.
* Lead and coach Area Managers with clarity, direction, and momentum to achieve business objectives.
* Set annual budgets on revenues and gross margin with timely delivery.
* Ensure strong business awareness, task orientation, and results-driven approach.
* Pursue new customer and sales channel opportunities.
* Maintain a credible business presence through effective negotiation skills.
* Develop robust commercial relationships with customers.
* Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to execute marketing plans.
* Work closely with the Technical Director and team to identify new product opportunities.
* Contribute to the innovation team.
* Apply analytical thinking to drive business growth.
* Demonstrate excellent presentation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
* Ensure balanced judgment, decisiveness, and good communication skills.
Requirements:
* At least 5 years of senior commercial experience preferably in Horticulture, Garden Centers, or FMCG sector.
* Demonstrable career achievements.
* Evidence of building a business in challenging environments.
