Procurement and Supply Chain Lead – Franchise Food BusinessWe are seeking s highly skilled and experienced Procurement Category Manager to lead strategic sourcing and category management activities within the food franchise business; you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders.Essential SkillsAdaptability and agility in how you work.The ability to multi-task, manage different stakeholders and react quickly are essential5 years of experience in a procurement and supply chain preferably within the food industry,Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to root cause and implement effective solutionsImpeccable communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to navigate complex supplier and stakeholder conversationsCollaboration; a highly collaborative, team player within both the direct team and organizationDetail orientation: a high attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, business priorities and deadlines.Responsibilities:Review and implement category strategies for a well know food franchise on food-related goods and services.Manage tendering activities including review of specifications, evaluation criteria, and contract award documentation.Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.Monitor contract performance and ensure service delivery meets agreed key performance indicators and service level agreements.Support risk management, sustainability, and social value initiatives within the procurement function.Provide expert advice on procurement legislation, frameworks, and best practices.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and procurement transformation projects.Lead and manage key procurement activities and the overall development, execution and success of the assigned procurement packages.Review and implement the Client's procurement policies, processes and controls to ensure that all purchases are executed in line with the associated procurement strategy and sourcing strategy.Maintain up to date best practice knowledge on relevant regulations, market intelligence, commodity trends and new sources of supply.Monitor marketplace developments and communicate these to client's personnelAssess manufacturing demand and place purchase orders for stock required to maintain manufacturing operationsLiaise with all departments to place purchase orders for overhead spend and ensure timely delivery of all goods and services orderedExperience in Forecast and Replenishment tools is a must, preferably MRPManage and maintain MRP systems to plan, schedule, and monitor material flowAnalyze demand forecasts and convert them into material plansCoordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure materials availability
