A leading construction company is seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on major commercial and residential projects in Galway. Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation
Support tracking of project costs, variations, and valuations
Help with subcontractor procurement and cost reporting
Maintain accurate financial records and project documentation
Collaborate with site teams, senior quantity surveyors, and project managers
Learn to identify potential risks and opportunities on projects
Contribute to the smooth commercial management of projects under supervision
Requirements:
0–2 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role; previous internship or placement experience in construction projects will be considered
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline
Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Interest in construction projects, cost management, and contract administration
Knowledge of Irish construction practices is desirable but not essential
Membership or working towards membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland) is advantageous
