Our Global Device Development team is an innovative, technically-excellent, fully integrated organization that delivers access to high-quality, safe, robust, and effective device and combination products to meet evolving patient healthcare needs. We develop device technologies for drug delivery in respiratory, biologic, biosimilar, and injectable products, supporting Viatris from four sites: Dublin, Ireland; Cambridge & Sandwich, UK; and Southpointe, Pittsburgh, USA. Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference. The Associate Scientist, Devices and Product Performance role will contribute by:

Key responsibilities include:

1. Supporting all R&D Lab activities, including equipment calibration, qualification, documentation, and Trackwise records.

2. Executing incoming inspection of components/sub-assemblies according to site procedures to support device development.

3. Supporting testing of combination products, including protocol generation, oversight of external testing, and report writing.

4. Supporting development and validation of test methods for design verification testing at internal/external facilities or manufacturing sites.

5. Contributing proactively to quality objectives within the GDD QMS.

6. Performing general lab activities like procedure updates, metric generation, sample management, data review, instrument calibration, and sample shipping.

7. Analyzing analytical data through trending and statistics, and compiling technical reports for product lifecycle support.

8. Leading and reviewing device investigations, participating in GDD and technical teams, and logging results in Trackwise.

9. Adhering to ISO 13485 standards and maintaining audit readiness.

10. Supporting equipment qualification, vendor calibration, and preventive maintenance.

11. Attending EHS training and ensuring compliance with EHS procedures, including risk assessments.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

- Masters/Degree in Engineering or Science with proven postgraduate experience.

- Experience in a regulated GMP environment is advantageous.

- Proficiency with Minitab is a plus.

- Strong communication skills for effective discussion facilitation.

- Meticulous attention to detail and an analytical approach to problem-solving.

- Some travel may be required.
