Overview We are looking for a Senior Security Manager (m/f/d) to manage all security-related activities of a metro rail project in Dublin.
This role forms part of a major Deutsche Bahn tender for an upcoming large‑scale rail infrastructure programme in Ireland.
Key facts Start: ASAPDuration: Up to 5 years Capacity: Full-time Location: Dublin, Ireland Contract type: Freelance Responsibilities Your responsibilities Governance & Risk Management Coordinate security across construction sites, overseeing patrols and coverage Ensure contractor teams monitor security systems and equipment functionality Audit security strategies and performance Align emergency planning with Business Continuity and H&S teams Compliance & Regulations Ensure full contractor compliance with PSA and HSE guidelines Stay updated on relevant legislation (GDPR, safety, welfare)Conduct risk assessments, review security plans, and oversee emergency procedures Coordinate with client security, authorities, and contractors for information sharing Develop and implement incident and emergency protocols for operations Lead and report on all security-related incidents Investigate incidents, maintain records, and recommend actions Provide timely reports to management and project teams Analyze incidents and implement measures to prevent recurrence Recommend security technology and infrastructure upgrades based on risk Client Relations & Stakeholder Engagement Represent security in planning and audits Build relationships with clients, councils, and law enforcement Advise site managers and project leaders on security and risk mitigation Your profile Minimum 10 years' experience in the security management with at least 5 years' experience in a security leadership role in large-scale metro rail projects At least Higher Certificate degree (or equivalent) in Security Management, Risk Management, or a related field Professional Membership of ASIS, ISRM, Security Institute or IOSHBeing FREC trained for incident response Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 27001, and 45001 for integrated security Experience working at a senior level within the framework of major infrastructure projects Evidence of Continuous Professional Development in the security field Strong understanding of Irish/EU site safety, Health & Safety, and related legislation Working knowledge of CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and logistics security Awareness of Business Continuity, infrastructure, and H&S requirements on construction sites Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills Full, clean UK/Irish driving licence and own vehicle In case you match the profile and are interested in a complex task within the transport sector, please send your CV along with your hourly rate.
