Quantity Surveyor roles – M&E and Civils (Maynooth)We are currently working with a leading contractor seeking multiple experienced Quantity Surveyors to join their commercial team in Maynooth. These roles offer the opportunity to work on complex, large-scale projects, supporting the full commercial lifecycle of various projects and packages.ResponsibilitiesPrepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and civils packages.Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to carry out take-offs and cost analysis.Develop and manage cost plans, budgets, and forecasts for mechanical scopes.Utilise digital estimating and measurement tools such as Bluebeam, CostX, and Revit to improve accuracy and efficiency.Support the development of procurement strategies, including package breakdowns and early procurement of long-lead items.Ensure all mechanical scopes are clearly defined and correctly captured for tendering and procurement purposes.Prepare and issue tender packages to subcontractors and suppliers.Analyse, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations.Provide commercial input into procurement and contracting strategies for mechanical works.Review designs to identify value engineering opportunities and alternative specifications to optimise cost and value.RequirementsDegree or third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience with a main contractor, ideally within data centre or large-scale commercial projects.Strong background delivering commercial build projects, particularly within technically complex environments.Demonstrated experience negotiating packages and managing subcontract procurement.Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with figures.
