Available Hours: 4, 10-hour shifts with every other weekend rotations
Provide 5-star care to our residents Assist the Director in developing a resident-centered activity schedule each month, contributing to residents' physical, cognitive, spiritual, and psychosocial well-being.
Suggestions are encouraged based on your talents and interests. Conduct group and individual activities such as exercises, arts and crafts, reading, music, pet therapy, outings, games, and more, following the activity program scheduled by the Director. Inform residents of upcoming events and activities, encouraging participation and motivation. Assist residents with mobility to and from rooms, activity areas, and dining, accommodating various mobility aids. Provide snacks and liquids in accordance with dietary restrictions, coordinating with dieticians or nurses as needed. Understand the needs of residents aged 65 and over, including sensory or memory challenges, and communicate effectively with them. Visit residents to socialize, read, or provide snacks, tailored to their individual needs and preferences. Qualifications: A desire to make a difference and willingness to grow professionally. Must be 18 years or older. High school diploma or equivalent at minimum. Preferred coursework or degree in recreational therapy or related field. One year of experience working with the elderly is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong customer service skills are a plus. Benefits include:
