The Role of Principal Instrumentation Engineer
Job Description
This position is responsible for providing technical expertise and support in the area of electrical and instrumentation engineering, specifically related to the maintenance and reliability of equipment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and instrumentation engineering, with experience in maintenance and reliability programs. They will be responsible for owning and managing the site calibration program, working with regulatory bodies, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance programs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Level 8 Degree in Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent
* 5+ years experience in a maintenance/engineering role, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry
* Demonstrated ability to act independently using good organisational skills
* Proven ability to make good use of systems, procedures & processes
* Working knowledge of relevant EU directives (e.g. ATEX, etc)
* Familiarity with the relevant national/international engineering standards (e.g. NSAI, NECI, NEC, IEC, ISO, CEN, ISA, CENELEC etc)
