Overview
Our client, a leading and well-established construction organisation, is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join their team based in Maynooth, Co. Kildare. This position will have a strong emphasis on the preconstruction phase of large-scale projects across sectors including data centres, industrial developments, and pharmaceutical facilities.

The successful candidate will play a key role in embedding quality processes and standards from the earliest stages of project development, ensuring quality is built into project planning and delivery from the outset.
Key Responsibilities
Lead quality activities during the preconstruction phase of projects.
Develop and maintain project-specific Quality Management Plans (QMPs) and associated procedures.
Review tender documents, specifications, employer requirements, and design information from a quality perspective.
Work closely with design, engineering, and preconstruction teams to identify and mitigate quality risks.
Support and contribute to design reviews and constructability assessments.
Develop Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), quality documentation, and control processes.
Ensure compliance with client requirements, industry regulations, and recognised quality standards.
Support supplier and subcontractor quality assessment and assurance activities.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and champion quality best practices.
Monitor quality performance and produce reporting metrics and KPIs.
Ensure a smooth transition of quality requirements from preconstruction through to project execution.
Candidate Requirements
Degree qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years' experience within a Quality Management role in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
Previous experience working on data centre, industrial, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or large-scale construction projects.
Experience supporting projects during preconstruction or early-stage project planning.
Strong understanding of construction processes, specifications, and quality procedures.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency with quality management tools and Microsoft Office applications.
