Our client, leading logistic distributor, is seeking to hire an experienced HGV mechanic/ technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing faults, repairing and servicing a range of commercial vehicles. It is a full time permanent role with attractive salary and benefits.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform repair and servicing of trucks, trailers, and tankers as required.
2. Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and cleanliness in the workshop.
3. Complete and file all required paperwork accurately in accordance with company procedures, including using platforms such as Fleetminder and Evernote.
4. Operate only machinery and equipment for which you are trained and authorised.
5. Diagnose and rectify vehicle faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment, following a systematic approach and adhering to manufacturer specifications.
6. Comply with all company management system procedures, including the quality management system and safety systems outlined in the company Safety Statement.
7. Actively participate in all training provided by the company.
8. Promptly report any quality or safety risks, concerns, or opportunities for improvement to your supervisor or management.
