Civil Engineering Project Manager Role
Our organization is seeking an experienced Civils Project Manager to lead a project based in the Cork region. This position presents an excellent opportunity for professionals with a minimum of 2 years' experience in civil engineering projects.
Main Responsibilities:
* Establish and promote best practices in health, safety, and environmental matters.
* Ensure accurate setting out methods and techniques are implemented.
* Verify that drawings and specification documents contain sufficient information for construction purposes.
* Complete quality checks in accordance with company and project procedures.
* Communicate effectively with foremen and supervisors to ensure full understanding of provided information.
* Support the team with written risk assessments and method statements for the control of works.
* Maintain a comprehensive and accurate daily site diary, including changes/variations, subcontractors' attendance, and records of work-related discussions.
* Ensure effective communication with the commercial team regarding contractual/commercial issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* 5+ years of proven experience on civil engineering projects.
* Ability to develop, implement, and manage safe systems of work for construction procedures.
* Proven experience/training with the latest surveying/CAD techniques.
* Competence in using setting out equipment, including total stations, and reading of drawings and specification documents.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills for management, clients, and public engagement.
* Able to discuss engineering issues with people across various levels and disciplines.
* Familiarity with current civil engineering legislation, as well as Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.
