Your new role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Business Analyst to join our team on a 6-month contract in Dublin. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in business process improvement and digital transformation, who can effectively bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams. Experience with AI is a plus, though not essential.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
1. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs.
2. Document detailed requirements and translate them into functional specifications for IT and development teams.
Process Improvement
3. Analyse current business processes and workflows.
4. Identify inefficiencies and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions.
Stakeholder Engagement
5. Liaise with departments such as operations, finance, risk, and IT.
6. Ensure alignment of solutions with business goals and regulatory standards.
Project Support & Management
7. Support project planning, scope definition, and roadmap development.
8. Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather feedback and build consensus.
Testing & Quality Assurance
9. Develop and execute test plans to validate solution effectiveness.
10. Coordinate with QA teams and end-users during testing phases.
Documentation & Reporting
11. Maintain comprehensive documentation on processes, systems, and project changes.
12. Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders and leadership.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
13. Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to interpret complex data and support strategic decisions.
14. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
15. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with business analysis tools, data modelling, and Agile methodologies. Understanding financial systems and regulatory environments is advantageous.
16. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify root causes and develop innovative, business-aligned solutions.
17. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in documentation, analysis, and testing.
18. Adaptability: Comfortable switching between tasks and priorities based on evolving project needs.
Preferred Experience
19. Proven experience in digital transformation projects.
20. Exposure to AI technologies is a nice-to-have.
