MES Designer - Life Sciences | Dublin or Cork (Hybrid)
A global technology and consulting organization that helps leading companies modernize operations through digital, cloud, data, and advanced manufacturing solutions is looking for an experienced MES Designer to join its growing life sciences team in Dublin or Cork.
As an MES Designer, you'll work at the forefront of manufacturing digitalisation - designing and implementing Manufacturing Execution Systems for leading pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies. This MES Designer role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale digital manufacturing projects while collaborating with global experts in MES and smart factory solutions.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) solutions for life sciences manufacturing environments.
Collaborate with clients and technical teams to define user requirements and deliver high-impact digital manufacturing solutions.
Design, author, and configure Electronic Batch Records (EBR) within MES platforms.
Support integration of MES systems with ERP platforms and shop-floor control equipment.
Document MES configurations and support validation activities in line with regulated industry requirements.
About You
The successful MES Designer will bring strong technical expertise and experience within automated life sciences manufacturing environments:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline.
Around 3-5 years' hands‑on MES experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences manufacturing.
Experience with at least one MES platform such as Körber PAS‑X, Emerson Syncade, Rockwell PharmaSuite, Siemens XFP, POMS, or Camstar.
Working knowledge of FDA, GMP, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working in cross‑functional teams.
