Seamus Crotty, Managing Director, is pleased to announce that Ballyfin Demesne is recruiting for a General Manager to join our leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and ambitious individual to lead an award-winning hotel located in Co. Laois, Ireland.
Ballyfin Demesne has received 3 Michelin Keys and a Michelin star for our restaurant, led by Richard Picard-Edwards.
The General Manager will report directly to the Managing Director and will oversee the hotel's daily operations, ensuring delivery of our exceptional 5-star guest service.
This full-time, permanent role involves working 5 days over 7, including weekends. It is a hands-on operational position where presence and leadership in Food and Beverage are highly advantageous.
Main duties include, but are not limited to:
* Assisting in strategic planning and project implementation within budget and timelines.
* Providing leadership and support across all hotel departments.
* Fostering guest loyalty and team engagement, inspiring a proactive, service-oriented culture.
* Leading by example with professionalism, aligning with the hotel’s core values.
* Creating a positive work environment that promotes development, wellbeing, and employee engagement.
* Building strong relationships with guests, especially repeat visitors, and maintaining service standards.
* Identifying and suggesting improvements to enhance the guest experience.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Food & Beverage and hotel operations, demonstrating leadership, collaboration, and a focus on service excellence.
