HR Generalist Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support our busy manufacturing site in Longford. This is a hands-on role offering the chance to work closely with line managers and employees across all levels, with a focus on employee relations, attendance tracking, training coordination, policy support, and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as a trusted advisor to supervisors and managers on employee relations, disciplinary procedures, and performance coaching.
* Provide front-line HR support for hourly and salaried staff across the site.
* Coordinate and track attendance, manage employee files, and assist with evaluations and leave management.
* Collaborate on employee development and training programs.
* Monitor compliance with employment law and internal HR policies, escalating where appropriate.
* Take the lead on employee queries, workplace issues, and grievance handling.
* Support internal communications, plant events, recognition initiatives, and service award programs.
* Contribute to continuous improvement in HR processes, tools, and communication.
Requirements:
* 2+ years' experience in a Human Resources Generalist or People Partner role.
* Strong knowledge of Irish employment law, ideally within a manufacturing or shift-based work environment.
* Experience advising operational or line managers on HR matters.
* Comfortable with employee records, attendance systems, and reporting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - able to build rapport across functions.
* Highly organised, proactive, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
