Full-Time, permanent, Kildare, Hybrid workingI am seeking an experienced Manager – Data Delivery to provide strategic leadership across enterprise data domains, including data governance, master data management, data quality, innovation, and lifecycle management.This role is responsible for the daily acquisition, cleansing, organisation, and delivery of data across all supported systems, ensuring that data is transformed into a high‑value business asset.You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business to understand requirements, shape data strategy, and guide best‑practice implementation.Partnering with IT teams, you will play a key role in technology selection, data modelling, integration, and establishing scalable processes that support efficiency, stability, and usability.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive the organisation’s data strategy, maximising value from data and mitigating risks associated with poor data quality.Collaborate with senior leadership and Risk teams to embed and enforce data policies, standards, and controls.Develop and maintain an operating model for internal and external data usage.Manage data vendors, SLAs, licensing, and drive adoption or retirement of datasets as needed.Oversee data quality, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all datasets.Maintain integrity of data delivery mechanisms and monitor consumption across applications.Act as the primary point of contact for data support, issue analysis, and new data requirements.Lead data governance processes and enforce best‑practice data management.Build and maintain business performance dashboards that deliver actionable insights and support proactive decision‑making.Experience & CompetenciesMinimum 10 years’ experience in IT with strong leadership skills.5+ years building and managing complex ETL infrastructures.5+ years working with distributed, scalable, multi‑node Big Data environments.Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing, Big Data ecosystems, and Hadoop.Experience deploying and administrating data in AWS or Azure environments.Proficiency in translating functional and technical requirements into design specifications.Experience with ELT methodologies.Hands‑on experience with RDBMS and SQL (Oracle/SQL Server desirable).Familiarity with modelling techniques (data modelling, predictive modelling).Working understanding of web technologies (Java, NoSQL, JSON, REST, JMS) is a plus.Exposure to risk management, finance, actuarial, operations, or portfolio management domains.Strong understanding of process optimisation, workflow planning, and resource scheduling.Leadership & Behavioural SkillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, influencing stakeholders at all levels.Strong problem‑solving mindset with the ability to manage cross‑functional teams and complex project scenarios.Comfortable working in agile delivery environments.High levels of energy, ownership, and resilience.Strong client‑facing and consulting skills, with experience in relationship management.Ability to operate with discretion, professionalism, and executive presence.Highly organised, with strong planning capability and attention to detail.Strong service orientation, striving for continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.Ability to work independently and provide recommendations on complex support issues.Thrives in fast‑paced, team‑oriented environments.It will be important that you have an Irish driving licence and access to a car.This is a critical leadership position at the core of the organisation’s data ecosystem.
