Tendering Manager Job Description
This is a highly responsible position that oversees the entire tendering process from initiation to conclusion. The successful candidate will be accountable for managing key client relationships, compiling precise submissions, negotiating prices with suppliers and subcontractors, and maintaining the cost database.
The role requires exceptional project management and organisational skills, a strong understanding of budgeting and financial analysis, and extensive knowledge of contractual terms and conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the tendering process from initiation to conclusion;
* Maintain key client relationships;
* Compile precise submissions;
* Negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors;
* Oversee the maintenance of the cost database.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* 5+ years' experience in a commercial role;
* 10+ years' experience in a senior role in a MV/HV organisation;
* Experience in either the Irish or UK market;
* Minimum of a Level 8 degree in a relevant qualification such as Electrical Engineering or Quantity Surveying;
* Excellent project management and organisational skills;
* Strong understanding of budgeting and financial analysis;
* Extensive knowledge of contractual terms and conditions.
