We are looking for an experienced Construction Foreman to join our team in Kildare.
Key Responsibilities:
Health, Safety & Environment
Implement company HSQE Management Systems and Safety Statement.
Prepare and brief RAMS, SPAs, and toolbox talks; ensure inductions and permits are in place.
Conduct regular site safety and environmental inspections, recording and closing actions promptly.
Manage environmental controls, including waste permits and pollution prevention measures.
Quality & Delivery
Ensure works comply with technical drawings and specifications.
Identify and rectify defects promptly and secure client sign-off.
Raise and record NCRs to support continual improvement.
Programme & Plannin
Plan daily and weekly activities, coordinating plant, materials, and subcontractors.
Monitor progress against the programme, reporting delays and implementing corrective measures.
Contribute to look-ahead programmes and maintain production efficiency.
Commercial & Reporting
Manage productivity, control overtime, and minimise material waste.
Understand cost implications of delays or variations.
Maintain accurate records including diaries, labour/plant returns, and progress reports.
People & Stakeholder Management
Lead, mentor, and manage site operatives.
Ensure all personnel comply with site rules and documentation.
Liaise effectively with clients, designers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
5+ years' experience in civil engineering or utilities projects.
Proven ability to manage teams, subcontractors, and deliver works safely and efficiently.
Site Safety Supervisor Programme (or equivalent).
Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificates.
Full clean Irish driver's licence and right to work in Ireland.
Competent in using RAMS, SPAs, and digital inspection tools (e.g., PowerApps).
