Meta seeks a highly motivated and well-organised team player to join our growing European Privacy and Data Policy team. You will work on strategic engagement and outreach with privacy and data policy stakeholders in Ireland. This will involve working on cutting-edge data policy issues and building relationships with key stakeholders. The role will involve proactive policy development, project management, and the creation of networks across different sectors. You will work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and present to internal and external audiences. This is a great opportunity to lead work on novel public policy issues.
ResponsibilitiesIdentify and monitor data policy issues affecting Meta in Ireland and nearby regionsAnalyse legislative and regulatory proposals on privacy, data, and related technology issues in Ireland and the European regionWork closely with cross-functional teams on a range of policy issues, including strategically drafting submissions and engagement plans for local policy audiencesDevelop proactive strategies and initiatives to address policy challengesEngage and build relationships with relevant stakeholders, including policymakers, academics, and NGOs in Ireland and the wider regionRepresent Meta at meetings and conferences
Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree or higher6–8 years of professional experience in a public policy role, with experience in privacy, data policy or related technology fieldsExperience managing strategic outreach with a broad range of stakeholders within policy, advocacy, or government positionsExperience navigating cross-functional teams and prioritising competing project timelines
