Our client is one of Ireland’s leading commercial, industrial, and high-density residential HVAC systems providers.
We are seeking a practical, commercially focused, and hands‑on Sales Manager to lead the internal sales office and trade counter operations at their Santry branch.
In this pivotal role, you will drive sustainable, profitable growth while overseeing daily operations. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams including Business Development Managers, Supply Chain, and Product Managers to ensure excellent stock availability, seamless customer service, and a joined‑up commercial approach across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and mentor the internal sales office and trade counter teams to achieve branch sales and margin targets.
Maintain efficient, consistent sales routines (including quotation follow‑ups and order management) while prioritizing commercial effort where it delivers the highest return.
Develop and maintain longstanding customer relationships while identifying new opportunities across Air Conditioning, Facilities Management, and emerging product lines.
Utilize branch performance data (via ERP, CRM, and Phocas dashboards) to manage stock availability, mitigate risks, and optimize branch processes.
Partner with purchasing, product managers, and the Customer Experience Manager to elevate service standards and streamline stock efficiency.
Experience & Skills Required
Experience leading a sales team within a technical, wholesale, or distribution environment.
Proven track record of managing both trade counter and office‑based sales teams.
Strong commercial awareness with a solid understanding of margins, pricing, and sales performance metrics.
Product knowledge in HVAC or mechanical products is highly advantageous, though the ability to learn technical product ranges quickly will also be valued.
High level of competence using Microsoft Office, ERP systems, CRM tools, and Phocas dashboards.
Clear, practical, and professional communication style with an ability to build strong cross‑functional relationships.
Must have the right to live and work in the Republic of Ireland on a permanent basis.
