We are currently seeking a highly skilled professional to join our clients audit team in County Kerry.
This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of client financial records with accounting standards and legal requirements.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and conducting audits, preparing working papers, identifying risks, reporting findings, and advising on improvements to clients.
This is a full-time position with a hybrid working week offered.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, execute, and complete audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients in accordance with auditing standards.
* Perform substantive testing, analytical review, and risk assessment procedures.
* Prepare clear and accurate working papers and audit reports.
* Liaise directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries.
* Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and on-the-job training.
* Review financial statements for compliance with relevant accounting frameworks.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and value-added recommendations.
Requirements:
* Qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent.
* Minimum 2 years' audit experience in practice (medium practice experience an advantage).
* Strong knowledge of Irish GAAP and relevant auditing standards.
* Proficiency in accounting and audit software (e.g., CaseWare, Sage).
