Daniel's Kitchen & Bar has opened it's doors in the heart of Ballina, Co. Mayo, and we're looking for a passionate and driven Sous Chef to join our kitchen team immediately.
The Role
As Sous Chef, you'll work closely with our Head Chef to bring creative, seasonal dishes to life in a fast-paced, open kitchen environment. You'll lead by example, help train junior staff, and ensure consistent quality in every plate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support daily kitchen operations and prep
* Supervise and train junior kitchen staff
* Assist in menu planning and dish development
* Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen environment
* Lead services during busy shifts with energy and precision
Who You Are
* 2+ years' experience in a Sous Chef or similar leadership role
* A genuine passion for food and high standards of presentation
* A strong team player with great communication skills
* Calm under pressure and solutions-focused
* HACCP certified
