Position: Optical Network Engineer (Planning & Deployment)Type: Contract (11 months, strong scope for extension)Location: Dublin (onsite)Optical Network Engineer required to join a team focused on building and scaling a large, global optical network. This role is centred around planning, design, and deployment, but you’ll also be involved in troubleshooting during rollouts and early-life support.Key Duties:Designing and planning DWDM / optical transport networksSupporting network expansion and new deploymentsTroubleshooting issues during deployment and post-implementationPartnering with operations teams to transition builds into productionContributing to improvements in network design and scalabilityExperience Required:Strong experience with DWDM / OTN systems (essential)Background in network planning, design, or deploymentSolid troubleshooting skills within optical networksUnderstanding of network architecture and scalingExperience delivering network projects or rolloutsNice to have:Experience with multi-vendor environmentsExposure to large-scale or backbone networksIf you’ve been working on the build/design side of optical networks but still enjoy getting hands‑on with troubleshooting, feel free to apply.Please note, candidates must be based in Ireland with valid visa to apply for this position.
