Job Opportunity: Reinsurance Accountant
The position is available for a Reinsurance Accountant to join the team in Dublin City Centre, supporting hybrid working arrangements. The role focuses on accounting processes for reinsurance contracts and features dynamic opportunities to own responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Verify underwriting data for quota share and excess of loss contracts to ensure accuracy and reliability of premium data.
• Manage all aspects of quota share programs, including bordereaux reporting, claims payments, and reconciliations to guarantee timely completion of tasks.
• Monitor and manage aged receivables ensuring prompt action is taken when necessary.
• Liaise with brokers and underwriters to resolve queries and outstanding items, maintaining open communication lines.
• Perform monthly system close processes and support ad hoc projects as required, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility.
Qualifications & Experience Needed Include:
• Degree qualified in Accounting or Finance with relevant industry experience preferred.,,
• 3-5 years' experience in a similar role within the insurance or reinsurance industry showcasing expertise.,,
• Strong understanding of reinsurance contracts, reserving, and settlement practices with ability to interpret complex agreements.,,
