Health and Safety Professional
Job Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Professional to champion a positive health and safety culture across our organisation and client sites, promoting awareness and ensuring legislative compliance.
Main Responsibilities:
* Implement and maintain an ISO 45001-aligned Health & Safety Management System across all of our companies, sites, employees, and customers.
* Provide inductions and ongoing H&S training to employees, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles safely.
* Conduct risk assessments to identify hazards, suggest risk reduction measures, and advise on personal protective equipment needs.
* Advise management on legislative health and safety obligations and internal group standards, ensuring we remain compliant with regulations.
* Foster proactive consultation on Health & Safety with employees, customers, and suppliers, encouraging open communication and collaboration.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
* Degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent) is essential.
* A minimum of two years' experience in a health and safety role within operations, contracting, or construction contexts is required.
* Full driving license and willingness to travel to multiple sites is also required.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
* Proficiency in ISO 45001 frameworks and experience with health and safety legislation and standards.
* Capability to deliver training sessions and manage safety documentation effectively.
* Ability to influence and engage cross-functional teams, promoting a collaborative approach to health and safety.
