Qualifications and Experience Required: Each candidate for the appointment must possess: a) a relevant third level qualification in nursing and registered by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland RNID. b) a relevant management qualification. c) a minimum of 3 years' experience in a Leadership/Management Role. d) a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in the intellectual disability sector of which the above can form part. e) Excellent People Management, Leadership, Organizational, Motivational and Communication skills. f) knowledge of all relevant legislation and HIQA standards and a proven ability to implement standards and regulations. g) a keen interest and awareness of creating community connections, social capital and development of social enterprises as opportunities for service development. h) Good understanding of HR processes including grievances, disciplinaries, people management, communication and engagement. i) A full clean manual category B Irish driving licence. The Role of a Services Manager: The primary role of the post is to lead, manage and develop the assigned day and residential services in a manner which accords with the ethos, objectives and policies of the Brothers of Charity Services Ireland South East Region. The person appointed will be required to have a clear understanding and commitment to the role of Services Manager and in that regard to provide active leadership through which the mission of the Brothers of Charity can be supported and further developed in his/her area of responsibility. This requires a personal commitment to the mission expressed both in words and in leadership style.
