Powerscourt Hotel Resort & Spa is seeking a talented Pastry Chef to support our culinary team in delivering exceptional pastries and desserts.
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Pastry Chef who can lead our pastry section, overseeing the production of high-quality pastries, desserts, breads, and amenities. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in classical and contemporary pastry techniques, as well as a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Executive Pastry Chef in leading all aspects of the pastry kitchen across multiple outlets
* Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality pastries, desserts, breads, and amenities, in line with five-star standards
* Contribute to the development of seasonal menus and bespoke offerings, showcasing both innovation and refinement
* Supervise, train, and mentor junior pastry team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence
Required Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess:
* A minimum of 23 years experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or Michelin-level restaurant environment
* Formal pastry or culinary qualification
* Proven ability to manage a high-performing team under pressure
* Strong aesthetic sense and creativity, with excellent plating and finishing skills
