Electrical Engineer
Due to continued growth, one of my clients are recruiting for an
Electrical Engineer
to support the delivery of HV/MV substation, transmission, and distribution projects.
This client is a utility infrastructure consultancy and construction company, operating extensively within the utilities sector in Ireland, the UK and internationally.
This is a full-time site based position based on projects in the
Dublin
region.
There are also offices nationwide in
Cork, Limerick, Kerry, Kilkenny or Waterford
if these locations suit better.
Responsibilities
Support the on-site delivery of HV/MV electrical works, including substations and associated infrastructure
Review electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for construction
Coordinate and supervise electrical installation activities on site
Liaise with project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, and commissioning teams
Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, programme, and budget
Monitor quality, safety, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations
Assist with inspections, testing, commissioning, and snag resolution
Coordinate interfaces between electrical, civil, cable, and OHL works on site
Support progress reporting, site records, and as-built documentation
Participate in site meetings, safety briefings, and technical reviews
Qualifications
Degree in Electrical Engineering (NFQ Level 8)
3+ years' relevant experience (preferred)
Strong understanding of electrical installation, testing, and commissioning practices
Excellent communication, teamwork, and report-writing skills
Flexible, proactive, and able to prioritize tasks
Full driver's license required
