Where You Come In
* Work with schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble‑shooting functions.
* Test performance of electro‑mechanical assemblies, using test equipment.
* Operate, test, or maintain robotic equipment and vision systems.
* Analyze and record test results, and prepare written documentation.
* Perform operational test and fault isolation on automated systems and equipment.
* Carry out activities in equipment development under the supervision of the project engineer, including assembly and testing of equipment, fixtures, processes and/or electronics, completing engineering studies and validations.
* Follow Dexcom’s Safety and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) program.
* Assume and perform other duties as assigned.
* Perform all assigned tasks with appropriate safety requirements.
* Update equipment‑related documentation (manuals, drawings, and specifications) as needed.
What Makes You Successful
* Typically a Level 6/7 qualification and a minimum of 5–8 years of related experience.
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical documents related to equipment specifications.
* Ability to write routine reports, pass‑downs and correspondence.
* Effective presentation skills, responding to questions from supervisors, engineers and managers.
* Knowledge and experience with PLCs, automated production/process equipment, pneumatics, hydraulics, electro/mechanical systems, resistance welders, and packaging equipment highly desirable.
* Experience with process improvement projects (e.g., improving yields, reducing downtime).
* Proven ability to work hands‑on in a fast‑paced environment.
* Excellent communication (written and verbal) and personal interaction skills.
* Knowledge of high‑reliability, high‑volume manufacturing equipment and processes.
* Technical writing skills applied to manufacturing documentation and process development; experienced in the creation and revision of technical documentation.
