Fundraising Partnerships Coordinator
Based in Clontarf office 3 days per week and 2 days working from home

The Fundraising Partnerships Coordinator will play an important role in the roll out of IWA's Corporate Fundraising Strategy and deliver income from companies and businesses across Ireland through a variety of activities including charity of the year partnerships, corporate partnerships, corporate marketing and campaigns, cause related marketing, staff led fundraising and sponsorships. The role will be responsible for the account management and excellent stewardship of existing corporate partners as well as identifying and targeting prospects. Reporting to the Fundraising Partnership Manager with a dotted line to Head of Fundraising, this role is a key part of the fundraising team in Irish Wheelchair Association based in Clontarf.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
Working closely with the Fundraising Partnership Manager and Head of Fundraising, this role has a responsibility to co-deliver the Corporate Fundraising Strategy
Account manage an existing portfolio of corporate donors ensuring their ongoing engagement, growth, cultivation and retention.
Conduct research and profiling to identify prospective new corporate partners, initiative initial contact and set up calls and meetings
Support the Fundraising Partnerships Manager to develop and deliver pitches to corporates for partnership opportunities.
Support the commitments and targets of Charity of the Year and other corporate partnerships
Work directly with Irish Wheelchair Association's Community Centres and other services to help identify corporate partners to support specific service requirements i.e. funding for buses, respite etc.
Event manage IWA's Corporate Wheelchair Basketball experiences which generate additional income for the organisation
Support the Fundraising Partnerships Manager to package a Commercial Disability Awareness Training module to corporates
Source content for proposals to go to companies and compile reports for existing partners
Attend conferences and events to identify and cultivate partners
Develop marketing materials and web content – keep the website and internal sharepoint up to date with corporate news
Maintain various records including but not exclusively, Gifts in Kind, cost tracker, individual corporate accounts on IWA's CRM system as well as generate invoices and set up new suppliers
Deliver on agreed Fundraising Partnership KPIs to ensure the long-term growth of the corporate area within the Irish Wheelchair Association's Fundraising Department
Support Head of Fundraising as required
Ensure that your responsibilities to safeguard children and adults from abuse or harm is a core aspect of your role and that IWA's Safeguarding Policies and Procedures are adhered to.
Planning Monitoring
Contribute to planning sessions to achieve annual income and expenditure targets
Support Fundraising Partnerships Manager to monitor key partner growth, retention, value and duration and overall lifetime value and return on investment per partner
Assist in the development of a research and data-led strategic approach to all partner development and acquisition strategies.
Team Participation
Participation in all activities including team reviews, appraisals, objective setting and supervision that develops and retains a dedicated, efficient and effective team
Work collaboratively across the organisation to ensure appropriate engagement with donors and prospects to maximise opportunities, create synergies and integrate key messaging for maximum effect
Attendance and participation at Irish Wheelchair Association fundraising events as required
Work closely with colleagues to avail of administrative support providing clear guidance on requirements
Business Development Stewardship
Support the Fundraising Partnerships Manager to engage companies across a variety of fundraising opportunities including long term partnerships, charity of the year partnerships, staff led fundraising initiatives and sponsorship
Leverage opportunities with corporates such as Sports Programme, Corporate Wheelchair Basketball, media opportunities, etc.
Maintain our suite of marketing and presentation collateral which supports Irish Wheelchair Association to engage and win partners
Offer engagement opportunities to companies for their staff and management that secure fundraising volunteers and participants where appropriate.
Maintain a corporate database within IWA's CRM to best practice guidelines, screen and secure ethical and appropriate partners that manage corporate risk
Help develop innovative and creative propositions around our work to engage, cultivate and motivate donors to give, including funds, direct asks, events, use of technology, corporate campaigns
Reporting Line
The Fundraising Partnerships Coordinator will report to IWA's Fundraising Partnerships Manager with a dotted line to the Head of Fundraising also working closely with the rest of the Fundraising team, Advocacy, Customer Care, Communications and Membership teams as well as services to ensure IWA maximises opportunities across the organisation. IWA's fundraising functions must be agile to identify and avail of opportunities as they arise pivoting as required.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Training, Experience And Qualifications
1 - 2 years corporate fundraising or business development experience, preferably in the not-for- profit sector
A very strong understanding of Charity of the Year and Sponsorship opportunities
A strong track record of success in winning business ideally in the sector

The current pay scale is subject to a 9.25% pay increase over the next 2 years (2025 upto October 2026), aligning with the recent WRC agreement aimed at enhancing pay adjustments within Section 39 organizations.
Salary range between €32,270 to €49,299 DOE
