You will join the Dublin office as a Procurement Assistant, where you will provide vital support to the procurement team. In this key position, you will be responsible for a wide range of procurement administration tasks, playing an essential role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations. You’ll be the go-to person for handling supplier and branch enquiries both over the phone and via email ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. You will take pride in your work, have a keen eye for detail and thrive in a fast-paced environment where great customer service is a top priority.
Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to the procurement team.
* Ensuring a high standard of service to both internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
* Handling ad hoc administrative tasks as required.
* Manage the processing of purchase orders and requests submitted by the sales team, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
* Foster strong working relationships with internal departments and external suppliers to support the smooth operation of procurement activities.
* Delivery of key business objectives.
* Monitor and update supplier delivery dates to keep the sales team informed.
* Ensure accurate stock availability information.
Requirements
* A solid understanding of purchasing and procurement principles.
* Confident and clear communicator, both written and verbal.
* Highly organised with excellent accuracy in all tasks.
* Able to work collaboratively and willing to support other duties as required by the business.
* Basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
* Comfortable working under pressure and taking ownership of responsibilities.
* Dependable with strong timekeeping and attendance.
* Familiarity with inventory or stock management processes.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
* General administrative experience.
