NexVentur is seeking an experienced and pro-active Site Agent to join our clients' team in the Greater Dublin region, one of Ireland's leading civil engineering and utilities contractors.Our client has over 40 years of experience delivering national infrastructure and is a major utility providers in the water, gas, and power sectors.In this role, you will lead the delivery of Civil/Water/Utility projects, ranging from large-scale water main rehabilitations to urban drainage and civil works.Role & ResponsibilitiesAs Site Agent, you will take full ownership of the site's operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.Overseeing daily site operations for civil and utility works, including the management of direct labour crews, specialised subcontractors, and junior engineering staff.Acting as the primary point of contact for clients (e.g., Uisce Éireann, Local Authorities), consultants, and members of the public to ensure smooth project execution and high levels of customer satisfaction.Managing project resources, including plant, materials, and specialised equipment, while overseeing traffic management plans and logistics in both urban and rural environments.Reviewing and interpreting design drawings and BIM models, ensuring all works comply with strict client specifications and national building regulations.Driving a proactive safety culture on-site, conducting regular audits, implementing ISO 45001 standards, and ensuring all environmental and quality documentation is meticulously maintained.Tracking project costs, managing site diaries, and providing detailed progress reports to the Contracts Manager to ensure commercial targets are met.Skills & Experience5+ years of experience in civil engineering, 2+ years in a Site Agent or supervisory capacity specifically within the water, drainage, or utilities sectors.Degree or Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is highly desirable.Strong technical understanding of the Irish utilities landscape.Ability to manage utility diversions, large-diameter pipeline installations, and network upgrades.Proficiency in AutoCAD and project management software is expected.Knowledge of Street Works and Signing, Lighting & Guarding at Work is a significant advantage.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of mentoring junior staff and managing multiple teams across diverse site locations.Full, clean Irish/EU driving licence and the flexibility to travel to various project sites as required.Pay & PackageSalary €75,000 - €90,000 depending on experienceVehicle and Fuel cardTier 1 benefitsWhat's nextIf you are interested in this role, please apply through LinkedIn with an updated CV.
