Graduate Project Engineer – Ireland
Join Emerson as a Graduate Project Engineer and kick‑start your engineering career in a fast‑paced, project execution environment. The 18‑month programme is based in our Systems & Software team in Ireland (Cork or Dublin) and offers excellent training, mentorship from experienced managers and engineers, and the chance to work on world‑class customers.
Responsibilities
* The programme will commence with a 6‑week technology boot‑camp in Cluj, Romania, providing a solid technical foundation across Emerson products and services.
* Collaborate with project teams to design, configure, test, and deploy software solutions for our customers.
* Support the entire project lifecycle, including:
o Gathering design inputs and requirements for project deliverables.
o Planning, documentation and quality planning for design phases.
o Hands‑on system acceptance testing, installation, commissioning, and site training.
o Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues relating to process automation systems.
o Contributing to technical reports, upgrades and system performance improvements.
* Participate in employee‑led initiatives that foster collaboration and innovation.
Upon completion, you will transition into a full Engineer role.

You are a driven graduate enthusiastic about modern technology, eager to learn quickly and make an impact from day one.
Requirements
* Currently undertaking or have completed a Bachelors or Masters in a STEM discipline with a graduation date between 2025‑2026 and a minimum 2:2 classification.
* Motivated, curious and a strong desire to succeed.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Flexibility to travel to customer sites across the UK, Ireland and abroad.
* Valid full driver's licence and access to a car.
Preferred Qualifications
* Interest or degree in Engineering.
* Awareness of PLC programming.
