Bechtel is building a team to deliver a major programme of heavy civil and rail works in the Dublin area. Our services include supporting our customers by providing integrated programme and construction management services to deliver on their objectives for safe, sustainable, on-time and on-budget delivery of world class infrastructure.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will work with the project team to assist in the preparation, establishment, and maintenance of schedule data for proposals or contracts. You will perform schedule development duties, monitoring, reporting, and analysis and assist with schedule recovery plans. Your work will enable Bechtel to optimize the scheduling details for critical activities to best achieve project deadlines and objectives.
Major Responsibilities:
Assists in the preparation of schedule data for proposals or contractsEstablishes and maintains the schedule for a specific discipline area or specialtyPerforms schedule development duties to include establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration, establishing the proper workflow logic ties, and developing the required job expenditurePerforms schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialtiesAssists with maintenance of critical path schedule reports and schedule performance metricsPerforms schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activitiesAssists with schedule recovery plans
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Relevant Experience in project controls and planning activities and a proven track record of handling such activities in major rail projects or projects of a similar scale / complexity.
