About the RoleAre you interested in shaping the actuarial capability of a growing, ambitious business? As a Senior Actuarial Analystat Saol Assurance, you'll sit at the heart of the actuarial function, driving strategic growth through high-quality analysis and insight.The role spans technical provisions and capital calculations, management reporting, and day-to-day trading support. You'll also help develop robust actuarial models and processes across the product range, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver quarterly regulatory and financial reporting, including technical provisions, capital requirements, IFRS and Solvency II balance sheets, with clear analysis of movements.Prepare actuarial assumptions, inputs and reinsurance accounts, maintaining the tools and reports supporting quarterly and annual submissions.Support regulatory change by assessing new requirements and embedding updates into reporting and valuation processes.Maintain, test and validate actuarial models (Prophet), ensuring outputs for Solvency II and IFRS meet governance and documentation standards.Run and oversee daily actuarial and trading processes, monitoring system performance and resolving data or policy issues.Enhance and automate reporting and analysis using modern tools, delivering insights and data assurance across the business.Skills & Experience RequiredExperience in life insurance and/or investments, including regulatory reporting across multiple regimes.Strong financial analysis and coding background within financial services; experience with Prophet desirable.Proven ability to build tools using VBA, Python or similar languages, with an understanding of modelling best practice.Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and communicate complex issues.Experience delivering cross-functional initiatives to tight timelines; exposure to outsourced providers is an advantage.Who are we?We're Saol Assurance— a life assurer offering protection, pensions and investment products.
