Java Developer
We’re working with a global financial technology organisation building out a high-impact engineering team in Ireland. This is a backend role focused on designing and delivering scalable, low‑latency systems used in critical financial workflows.
This is a high‑visibility position where your work will directly contribute to onboarding new European clients and shaping core platform capabilities.
What you’ll be doing
Designing and building high‑performance backend services using Java and Spring Boot
Working on real‑time, event‑driven systems handling complex transaction flows
Contributing to new client onboarding, customisation, and platform integration
Collaborating with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced delivery environment
Driving performance, scalability, and reliability improvements across services
Engaging with senior stakeholders and providing regular project updates
What we’re looking for
2‑4+ years experience in backend development
Strong Java experience with Spring Boot
Experience building microservices and distributed systems
Exposure to event‑driven architecture (Kafka or similar)
Solid understanding of APIs (REST/gRPC) and system design
Experience working in enterprise or financial services environments is a plus
